Battle!

General Zod tops Guardian with his strength, durability, hand-to-hand combat, strategy (like when he fooled Krypton going into war), speed and reflexes. Dru basically has an advantage in power, but where Guardian really shines is his weapons. He gained more custody over them when he became a cyborg. James Hudson can protect himself from Zod’s powerful heat vision since the force field basically feeds on energy. Having this said Guardian’s force field may not be as effective with pure strength of Zod. He will also dominate in fighting skills because in Action Comics (Volume 2) #23.2 the general fought creatures twice his size and armored men with only his hands.

What Hudson could do is use his weapons that trigger Zod’s vulnerabilities. One weapon Guardian does have against Zod is his Ultrasonic beam. Does Zod have an answer for this? Well, kind of. Dru-Zod learned how to block out any sound he wants for an exchange to better hear one other particular sound at any time he wants. What this means is the Kryptonian could focus on a sound of something other than the ultrasonic wave being projected therefore that sound is blocked out of Zod’s ears. Other than this there isn’t anything for Guardian that would give him the upper hand.

It seems like the Marvel hero left his guard down. By the way 5 more battles until our 50th one. Next week you will join me for an interesting puppet show. Until then see you next time.
