Jonah Hex vs. Red Wolf – Marvel vs. DC #43

The Wild West is taking over this match with one of the oldest rivalries entering the comic book world. “Cowboys vs. Indians”

Origin: Jonah Hex

As a child Jonah Hex was sold to Apache in order for his father to move into California. His enemies like the Noh-Tante double crossed him during a raid on Kiowa leaving him stranded. Passing settlers found him and took him in. Years later after Civil War he returned to Apache to fight Noh-Tante and during their duel he cheated to win so for punishment the Chief pushed a scorching tomahawk against Jonah’s cheek.

Battle!

Before we start I wanna point out that this indeed is the least overpowered battle we have done here. Both heroes have acceptable human feats which is why this is so exciting. I wanna point out this will be the newest version of Red Wolf (2015). Now let’s get into it. Jonah Hex is an amazing marksman who can shoot perfectly blindfolded and can gun down multiple enemies with one draw. He is also an excellent hand-to-hand fighter who once with a sword took out 3 men carrying guns at close-range with just a knife. His reflexes were said to be faster than Batman’s. Crazy! He beat Batman twice (once in Return of Bruce Wayne #4 and second in when Bruce was wounded in Batman/Superman #18).

Red Wolf on the other hand is a bit more supernatural with his altered strength and senses given to him by the god Owayodatta. He is also a very good hand-to-hand fighter and even a better archer/marksman. His preferred weapons are the bow and arrows, but he can quickly resort to his tomahawk which he can throw just as precisely or a revolver. He is also skilled with his knife. Having all this said I believe the winner would indeed be Jonah Hex. I am not ignoring Red Wolf’s superhuman senses, but those can only get you so far with someone with the skill set and experience of Jonah Hex. C’mon! He beat Batman. TWICE! His hand-to-hand and marksman skills are overall better and outshine the supernatural element of Red Wolf.
