SDCC 2016: IDW and DC 2 Crossovers Are Batman/TMNT & GL/Star Trek 2

The limited series Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a huge hit for IDW and DC. It seems that the two companies have enjoyed working with each other so much that they will continue with this combo, but with different versions of the characters. This crossover will see Batman from the Batman: The Animated Series team up with the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Nickelodeon cartoon version of the Turtles called, Batman/TMNT: Adventures with no known release date yet. The companies are clearly going for a cartoonist feel for the comic as they got the writer of Beware the Batman (Matthew K. Manning) to write this series with Jon Sommariva for illustrationstmnt-batman-beae5

The next series will be a sequel to another previously beloved crossover to Star Trek/Green Lantern called Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War. This crossover will see the return of all your favorite characters from the original crossover and new fan-favorites added from both worlds. This title has a release date for Winter trek gl

Very glad to see DC and IDW working together yet again. It’s good to see there is peace between the publishers. Does this mean Hasbro Shared Universe and DC Universe might crossover soon?!?! Optimus Prime and Superman? Don’t tell me you wouldn’t read that? Make it happen DC & IDW. DC Comics has lately done a lot of crossovers not only with IDW, but also Boom! Studios for Lumberjanes and Gotham Academy. The only thing I would chnage is the annoying ‘/’ in the titles! Why can’t they call it ‘Batman & TMNT’ or ‘Star Trek & Green Lantern’? It annoys me to the core. Other than that nitpick I want the fans to enjoy themselves with these titles. I know the original Batman/TMNT crossover was awesome which debuted last year so, it’s good to see the fans wanting to keep inhaling this stuff.
