Today is ComicsPRO which is an event for comic book store owners where they find out what’s to come in the future of each company.
Today Dark Horse Comics has announced a number of intresting titles you might wanna take a look at in the future.
DARK HORSE DAY ANNOUNCED
It has been 30 years of of Dark Horse comics. To celebrate this anniversary Dark Horse Comics will be making promotional materials, retailer discounts on Dark Horse backstock and a 40 page 30th Anniversary Dark Horse Day Sampler, intended to be given out by retailers for free.
It will feature classic stories including Aliens vs. Predator: Blood Time (1994), by Randy Stradley and Phill Norwood, Sin City: Daddy’s Little Girl (1996), by Frank Miller, and The Umbrella Academy: Anywhere but Here (2008), by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá and a new Buffy the Vampire Slayer tale by Netflix Daredevil writer Christos Gage and a cover by Steve Morris.
The highly acclaimed writer Gail Simone, and artist Walter Geovani will work on this which is great to hear. The story is for ALL ages! The description is as it follows:
“Wonderfall is an epic fantasy, featuring the adventures of Yala, a young girl with powers even she isn’t fully aware of, against the nightmarish forces that threaten her home and family.
It’s a book of monsters, courage, and adventure as one young girl and her collection of oddball allies (and two goofy greyhounds!) go up against an insurmountable dark army of creatures from inside the Earth’s crust.”
CONAN THE SLAYER
Next we have beloved by many, Cullen Bunn and artist Sergio Dávila working on this series based on the persona of Conan the Barbarian. The story is coming out July 13th so get hyped! Lee Bermejo and acclaimed Mark Schultz is working on the covers.
” Alone, battle weary, and with nothing but his sword, Conan of Cimmeria faces his inevitable death in the arid wastes . . . but instead stumbles into a camp of Kozaki raiders. With a knife at his throat and a band of Turanian hunters at his back, will the half-dead barbarian find a new ally in the Kozaki chief?”
The Eisner Award (Oscar equivalent for comics) winner for best writer of last year Gene Yang, and Gurihiru are making this comic. This series is coming September 28th.
“When Aang leaves to aid Zuko with the Kemurikage, Katara and Sokka return to the Southern Water Tribe by themselves. Katara is shocked to find that her beloved village has become a bustling city, with none other than their father, Hakoda, in charge! A Northerner named Malina seems to be behind this change, pushing the North and South to be more unified…but what are her true goals?”
ALIENS DAY SERIES OF COMICS
With an Aril 26th date the many Alien themed comics are coming to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Aliens franchise. Expect many Aliens/Predator/Alien vs. Predator/Prometheus/etc. stories.
There will later be a Prometheus crossover with Aliens called “Life and Death”.

Aliens Defiance by Brian Wood and Tristan Jones is launching on Aliens Day (April 28th).
