SDCC 2015 Day 2: NEW DC Comics Announcments & Thoughts

DC Entertainment has revealed some amazing things today during Comic-Con and it is a bunch of comics Here are my thoughts and a look at our titles!

Let’s go!

1. Superman: Lois and Clark

This is the official synopsis: “Following the epic events of CONVERGENCE, here are the adventures of the last son and daughter of Krypton and Earth as they try to survive in a world not their own. But can they keep this world from suffering the same fate as their own? Can this Superman stop the villains he once fought before they are created on this world? What is Intergang, and why does Lois’s discovery of it place everyone she loves in jeopardy? And what will happen when their nine-year-old son learns the true identity of his parents?”

So it looks like this will be a more of an intense take on Superman with his new black outfit we can only speculate that he might have become a very different man who is more violent. Just pure speculation, remember folks. It will be very different to see Lois and Clark having a baby which will bring in a whole new dynamic to the characters. This series will come out October 14th this year, but wait there is more news.

DC Comics Announced

2. Titans Hunt

This is the synopsis: “CONVERGENCE is over, but the ripples are still being felt, especially by a young precog named Lilith. What are these visions she’s having of a Teen Titans team the world never knew? And why does she feel compelled to seek out Dick Grayson, Roy Harper, Donna Troy and an Atlantean named Garth and warn them that something dark and sinister is coming after them? Who are Mal, Gnarrk, Hank Hall and Dawn Granger, and what is their connection to the others—and to the fate of every soul on Earth? This is the Secret History of the TEEN TITANS! “

This sounds like a very exciting, good old classic Teen Titans story. The modern comics haven’t showed us any mind blowing Teen Titans stories and it looks like this might be it. We have Dick Grayson, Roy Harper, Donna Troy and more beloved characters that we haven’t seen interact in years! Remember that this is a different universe and the heroes from our world appear on there, which could suggest that the superheroes from our Earth might crossover. So many people can’t wait for this one including me. It will be written by Dan Abnett and it will come out October 21st.

Titans Hunt

3. Telos

This is the official synopsis: “The villain of the world-shattering CONVERGENCE event stars in his own new series! Set loose from his planetary tether at the end of the best-selling CONVERGENCE, Telos finds himself free and able to traverse space and time via a sliver of Brainiac’s powers. As this epic begins, he embarks on an odyssey, journeying across time and space in search of his past.”

(SPOILERS FROM CONVERGENCE, SKIP TO NEXT SENTANCE) So, we find out that Telos goes from a villain to a hero and now he will get his own series. He will try to find and search for his past, but I gotta say that Telos wasn’t a very interesting character in Convergence. I found him to be a Silver Surfer rip-off and this series doesn’t excite me that much. For those who are interested this series is coming Octber 7th while the writing will go to Jeff King and the artists will be Carlo Pagulayan and Jason Paz.

4. Justice League: Gods and Men

Geoff Johns today announced this 6 issues limited series. Each issue will focus on each individual Justice League member and what happens to them along with how they react to the changes they will go through in the Darkseid War. So yes this will be a tie-in to the Darkseid War. The following characters will get their own issue: Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, the Flash and Shazam! This sounds really fun and I cannot wait to read each character’s story, because we know they will be extreme as announced.

This is the list and more will be announced later on SDCC with more Marvel and DC news coming. Make sure to share, comment, like and stick to Comic Booger for more comic book related stuff! Thank you.
